Abacus provided program management services for several bond projects including the new Copper Sky Regional Park. The entire park site totals 140 acres with approximately 100 acres designed as a regional flood control solution. The remaining 40 acres is shovel ready and intended for future commercial development. The project was delivered using a design/build contract.
The City is also constructing a Police Station on a 4.3 acre parcel within the park site along Bowlin Road.
Park amenities include:
- Skate park
- Volleyball courts
- Basketball courts / tennis courts
- Amphitheater / great lawn
- Baseball / softball fields
- Dog park
- Lighted soccer fields / multi-use fields
- Lake / walking paths / picnic area
